Terms of Use for the BCABD Members Forums and Discussion Boards

All members wishing to post comments or suggest discussions on the BCABD Building Designers Forum must agree to follow these terms of use without exception.

The purpose of the designers forum is to discuss topics related to the building design and construction industry, and specifically to the profession of residential building design.

The forums and discussions are not to be used for discussion of political, social, religious, racial, sexual, or other issues that BCABD deems not in line with the purpose of the forum or the mission of BCABD.

Offensive language, lewd speech, racial slurs, derogatory statements, or any other comment that BCABD finds inappropriate are prohibited, and if posted will promptly be removed from the comments and the user will have their membership reviewed with the likelihood of it being revoked.

All readers, users, and commenters on the BCABD Forums understand that the forums and discussions are not intended as legal or professional advice or consultation. BCABD does not take any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any comments, recommendations, answers or statements made in the forums. Users understand it is the responsibility of every member to cross check facts for themselves and confirm suggestions by doing their own research prior to following or using them.

All users understand that while BCABD takes every effort to monitor the forums for inappropriate use, they cannot guarantee that comments in violation will be removed immediately. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum. It is the responsibility of all users to contact BCABD to inform them if they feel a comment is inappropriate or in violation of these terms and BCABD will act in a timely and appropriate way to the best of their ability to correct the matter.

Forums should not be used to promote a specific product, business, or service other than those provided by our corporate sponsors.

Forums should not be used to share information that is defamatory and/or knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise volatile of any law.

Forums should not be used to share information that is about other professionals or expose conduct of others in the construction industry or general public. Slander, gossip, hearsay, speculation or things like these are completely unacceptable in comments.

Users agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this forum.

Forums should not be used to promote other groups, causes, events, programs, courses, organizations, or movements other than those endorsed specifically by BCABD.
