What’s Next?
You have joined hundreds of professionals and are now a part of shaping the future of residential and building design in British Columbia, so what can you do now?
1. Keep Spreading
the Word.
Take some time this week to spread the word to others in the design community. For many designers they are more likely to join if they hear from someone they know personally. Follow our social links and ‘Like’ the news releases, others who follow you will check it out.
2. Update your profile
Go to the Member Directory and update your profile. Add a picture, your social links, and adjust your contact information to share what you want to share. Only BCABD members have access to the Member Directory. Click on the edit button at the top of the directory, your name will appear, then click on edit and personalize what other members see. (Please note that your Member Directory profile is unique to the directory and is not the same as your website account profile.)
3. Check out the website.
Take a few minutes to check out the Member tab at the top of each page and all the website has to offer. Great links, resources, news, events and more planned to come. As the membership grows we will add more content, member discounts, training and resources, so check back regularly. If you have suggestions let us know.
4. Join the forum.
Check out our Member Forum, you will need to enter a user name and password for the forum. Once you do you will find this is a great place to discuss issues, ask code questions, share ideas, and see the latest news. Make sure to read the terms of use for the forum so we can all enjoy the healthy discussions.
5. Show what designers can do.
Send us some pictures or renderings of your projects to post in the Member Gallery. We want to show off what our designers can do, everything from small projects to elaborate structures. Either contribute anonymously or put your company logo in the corner. If you need some help send us the picture and your logo and we will take care of the rest.
6. Register for the BCABD Mobile App
Available now on the Google Play Store the Apple App Store, the BCABD Building Designers App gives registered users access to member-only content. Non-registered users will have access to limited features of the app.
Please REGISTER the app and we will set you up to have full access to the secure features. Without registering the app you will have limited features available. The security and privacy of our members is very important to us.
