Recognizing the critical role we play in the design and construction of building, many of you have embraced the transition towards operational carbon reduction and designing higher performing buildings. While there have been remarkable improvements in operational performance, there is a growing awareness and urgency to better understand the embodied carbon of building materials, and a need to measure and reduce these emissions as well.
Join us for an Embodied Carbon 101 session to learn more about embodied carbon, why it plays a significant role in building decarbonization, and how CLF BC can be a resource to support the BCABD community in achieving our mission of providing safe, affordable, and sustainable buildings. During the session you will also hear about the Near Zero 2 (NZ2) Program and how you can earn up to $70,000 for building a Large Part 9 building that minimized its embodied emissions.
