Cost: Free
ASTTBC CPD points: 0.5
One Hour Webinar: The WoodWorks® 2020 Software is a structural engineering software package, produced with technical guidance from the Canadian Wood Council, developed to simplify and enhance the wood design process. It allows designers to experiment and explore the feasibility of using wood in structural applications following the NBC 2015 (BCBC 2018) and the CSA O86-19/14. This webinar includes a presentation that will discuss the key capabilities of the WoodWorks® Shearwalls software, followed by a brief live demonstration to showcase the design process and results of the software.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1) Understand the basic design process, assumptions and considerations of the WoodWorks® Shearwalls software,
2) Learn the basics on how to design light-frame wood shearwalls for wind loads and seismic loads according to NBC 2015 (BCBC 2018) and CSA O86-19/14 using WoodWorks® Shearwalls Software.
