Making a Case [Study] for Modular Skylights in Residential Projects

Date: Wednesday, October 13, 2021
Time: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: Free

The VELUX Modular Skylight is a versatile skylight system that will provide great opportunity to become creative with daylighting design and inspire you to rethink skylights. In this webinar, we will dive into case studies of residential projects, how skylights were integrated into project daylighting strategies, how skylights were placed to curate daylight in the space, as well as special considerations and approaches to meet the architect’s design intent. These projects will range from new builds to replacement, as well as showcasing a number of different configurations that were used. You will also gain insight into the tools and support our technical team has built to ensure the best support for Canadian architects and contractors when it comes to designing and incorporating the VMS system into a given project. Our aim is to enable you as architects to easily integrate VMS into your designs with BIM models, design consultation, and install support to ultimately create incredibly awe-inspiring homes.

Designed with Foster + Partners, the VELUX Modular Skylight, VMS, is a beautiful, high-performance, quickly installable and reliable skylight system. Its modularity allows for a diverse range of openings and building types which include residential projects. The VMS system can be found in numerous projects all over the globe, including in the Canadian market after its introduction a few years ago.
